Sudbury's Town Clerk announced Oct. 16 the schedule and procedures for the 2026 state election, set for Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fairbank Community Center, 40 Fairbank Rd., for all precincts.

The Select Board approved the 2026 State Election Warrant on Sept. 29, 2026.

In-person early voting is available to all registered voters who prefer to cast their ballot before election day. Early voting runs at Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, from Saturday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 30 at 12 p.m., with varying hours each day.

Voters who wish to cast a ballot by mail must request one by Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. Residents who have requested "All Elections" ballots do not need to submit a new application. Ballots can be tracked online, and returned mail ballots can be mailed, placed in the drop box at the back entrance of the Town Clerk's Office, or delivered in person to that office.

Return deadlines are 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 for in-person or drop-box returns, 5 p.m. on Nov. 6 for ballots mailed within the U.S. and postmarked by Nov. 3, and 5 p.m. on Nov. 13 for ballots mailed from outside the U.S. and postmarked by Nov. 3.

Accessible vote-by-mail ballots are available for voters who are blind or have vision, mobility or dexterity impairments, or other disabilities that make marking a paper ballot difficult.

The last day to register to vote for this election is Saturday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. Residents can register through the state's online voter registration page.

Ballot and voting machine testing will be held Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. at Town Hall. Early voted and absentee ballots will be opened and processed from Oct. 29 through Nov. 1 at Town Hall.

Questions can be directed to the Town Clerk's Office at clerk@sudbury.ma.us or 978-639-3351.
