Sudbury tax bills due Nov. 2
Sudbury's Collector/Treasurer office says FY27 second-quarter real estate and personal property taxes are due Nov. 2, and payments must be received by then to avoid late charges.
The Town of Sudbury's Collector/Treasurer office announced Oct. 19 that fiscal year 2027 second-quarter real estate and personal property taxes are due Nov. 2.
According to the announcement, payments must be received in the Collector/Treasurer's office on or before that date to avoid late charges.
Residents who have not yet paid have several options. Payments can be made online, by mail using the envelope provided with the tax bill, or through a personal bank's bill pay service. The town cautioned that bill pay "is not an immediate payment system" and urged residents to allow ample time for processing and mailing, and to allow sufficient time for regular mail delivery as well.
Payments can also be dropped off in a drive-up box outside the Flynn Building, which does not accept cash. Residents using the drop box were asked to enclose their payment in an envelope with the Collector's copy of the tax bill so the payment can be properly credited.
The office's hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The town noted that preliminary tax bills, which included payment coupons for both the first and second quarters, were mailed in July. Residents who have misplaced their bill can request a duplicate by calling (978) 639-3376 or emailing treasurer@sudbury.ma.us.
Kathy LaPorte is the town's treasurer/collector.
