Sudbury Select Board interviews two firms for town manager search

SUDBURY — August 2, 2022 — Sudbury Select Board interviews two finalist firms for town manager search, with award vote set for Wednesday. Community Paradigm Associates and Municipal Resources Inc. each fielded five prepared questions on Tuesday; Interim Town Manager Marianne Bilodeau reported composite scores of 77 for CPA and 75 for MRI heading into the price-proposal opening. CPA's Bernie Lynch said the firm has completed 79 Massachusetts town manager searches since 2019, up from 30. MRI's Alan Gould urged the board to weigh non-traditional candidates: "Hire for traits, train for skills." The board also unanimously approved, 5-0, a three-year property assessment contract with Regional Resources Group and a Teamsters Local 25 dispatcher MOA with 0.5 percent and 2 percent raises, a higher night-shift differential and Juneteenth as a holiday.
