Sudbury Select Board accepts Camp Sewataro audit, appoints Levine to Housing Trust

SUDBURY — June 24, 2025 — Sudbury Select Board accepts no-findings audit of Camp Sewataro as 2027 contract clock starts. The board voted 5-0 Tuesday to accept a Clifton Larson Allen special audit of camp operator DashaSolutions' fiscal 2024 financials, with Assistant Town Manager and Finance Director Victor Garofalo reporting that lead auditor Matt Hunt's team identified "no misstatements." The management letter flagged five items including roughly $100,000 in annual bonuses awarded without a written policy and roughly $130,000 in annual credit-card processing fees. Camp operator Scott Brody told the board, "We really welcomed the opportunity to improve our management practices." Member Janie Dretler noted the town pays "over $700,000 a year" on debt for the property, with the management agreement expiring in fall 2027. In a separate 4-1 vote, retired attorney Jeffrey Levine was appointed to the Sudbury Housing Trust for a term ending May 31, 2027, with Member Daniel Carty voting no.
