Select Board · Meeting of September 1, 2026

SUDBURY — The Sudbury Select Board approved a liquor license transfer for Rossini's Pizzeria and appointed Christopher Thompson to the Housing Trust at its September 1 meeting. The board voted 5-0 to shift the restaurant's license to new ownership under Debra Finger and her husband Ronnie Bittencourt, who said they want to "bring back the family business" feel. Town Manager Andrew Sheehan told the board the fiscal 2028 budget deficit has narrowed from $3 million to "a little bit under $2 million." Lincoln-Sudbury students Lucy Monin and Ayanna Allen pitched a nine-member youth commission, drawing support from member Lisa Kouchakdjian, who called youth involvement "critical" and "vitally important." The board also approved its summer newsletter articles 5-0 despite Chair Janie Dretler's objection that a sidewalk-funding piece "left out a lot of important information."
