Select Board reviews revised CPA Article 54 statement before final Town Meeting night
SUDBURY — May 7, 2025 — Sudbury Select Board holds brief pre-Town Meeting check-in and farewells departing member. The board convened at 7:04 p.m. on May 7 for a short coordination session before continuing Annual Town Meeting, with nine warrant articles remaining — six Community Preservation Act articles and three citizen petitions. Members reviewed a revised Article 54 statement prepared by board member Janie Dretler that added specific examples of past CPA-funded open space, historic, recreation and affordable housing projects in town. Members said Article 46, related to the Housing Authority, would be moved to indefinite postponement, and that the Haskell Master Plan article would be taken up next. The departing member, addressed as Jen, said it had been "a very full six years"; board member Daniel Carty told her "you've been chair twice — it's a lot of work" and "you've done a wonderful job for the community." The board voted to recess to Town Meeting.
