Council on Aging reelects Marotta chair, postpones secretary vote

SUDBURY — May 12, 2025 — Sudbury Council on Aging reelects Paul Marotta as chair, defers secretary vote, and welcomes new director. Patricia Tabloski was reelected vice-chair by acclamation, while the secretary position was held until June after new member Jane Keilty and member Anna Newberg declined. Director Nickole Boardman, in her ninth day after coming from the Groton Senior Center, said community-use scheduling at the Fairbank Community Center remains to be worked out following Town Meeting's approval of Article 17 establishing a revolving fund. Member Carmine Gentile reported Article 47 directed roughly $609,000 in CPC funds to the Sudbury Housing Trust for owner-occupied moderate-income housing, while Article 46's $450,000 duplex-conversion request was indefinitely postponed. Outgoing Chair Marilyn Tromer reported Article 55, the means-tested senior tax exemption fix, passed and now awaits the Legislature.
