Conservation Commission closes 173 Peakham Road wetlands case, appoints new CPC representative

SUDBURY — June 23, 2025 — Sudbury Conservation Commission closes 173 Peakham Road tree-cutting case and flags 10-percent ceiling on 182 Wayside Inn Road project. The commission voted unanimously June 23 to issue an order of conditions for DEP file 301-1445 to applicants Heiter and Esther Dulepius, with Conservation Coordinator Lori holding the order open three years to verify invasive-species mitigation because the cutting had already occurred. For 182 Wayside Inn Road, applicant Andrew Leveroni was told the constructed culvert fails state stream-crossing standards and that the gravel driveway, pool, patios and deck have not been counted toward the riverfront-area alteration calculation; Lori said the 10-percent cap is hard, and Vice-Chair Kenneth Holtz told Leveroni "something needs to be removed before we can permit anything." The commission also issued three certificates of compliance clearing 1988, 1990 and 2012 files from the 112 Powers Road deed for applicant Kylia Starr and rebuilt-barn approval, and appointed Associate Member Harry Hoffman to a three-year Community Preservation Committee seat, replacing Chair David Henkels.
