Conservation Commission clears Paddock Way and Goodnow Road compliance certificates

SUDBURY — May 13, 2024 — Sudbury Conservation Commission clears two stalled compliance files and orders a Skyview Lane site visit. The commission unanimously issued revised certificates of compliance for 28 Paddock Way and 3 Goodnow Road, the latter also lifting four enforcement orders dating to 2015 through 2017 over an unpermitted retaining wall, paving and grading near a vernal pool. Conservation Coordinator Lori Capone said both files needed cleanup to avoid contradictory recorded documents tied to long-pending conservation restrictions. The commission also approved an order of resource area delineation for 69-71 Brewster Road after engineer Montgomery Nesamba of Stamski and McNary added flags for two intermittent streams. Vice-Chair Kenneth Holtz pushed back on two four-foot stone pits proposed at 87 Cudworth Lane, warning, "you're just dealing with a big swampy area around the chamber" if shallow soils over ledge cannot infiltrate. Five items were continued to June 3.
