Conservation Commission approves four buffer-zone projects, continues four more

SUDBURY -- November 4, 2024, Sudbury Conservation Commission approves four buffer-zone projects and continues four others pending revisions. Chair David Henkels and a full commission issued negative determinations of applicability for a porch ramp at 72 Wayside Inn Road, evergreen screening at 71 Robert Best Road, a three-season deck roof at 25 Bryant Drive, and a greenhouse and native plantings at 90 Longfellow Road. The commission closed the hearing on 47 Stonebrook Road and will vote on an order of conditions Nov. 18, after engineer Ian Ainsley of Miser-Brem Corp. agreed by condition to install two parallel four-inch culverts rather than one. Henkels told homeowners at 71 Chanticleer Road that the standard four-shrub-per-tree ratio "doesn't work" after they removed six buffer-zone oaks for a water view. A new agricultural conversion of Harvey's Farm Lane lots 1 and 2, presented by engineer Vito Colon of Connor Stone Engineering, was continued for a Friday site walk and a Nov. 18 follow-up.
