The Sudbury Transportation Committee posted updated information on the town's transportation options Oct. 19, outlining recent changes to services used by residents who need rides around town and to nearby communities.

As of Sept. 22, wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) options are now available through the Go Sudbury! program. Riders who need a WAV can contact the Community Social Worker Office at 978-440-5476 or socialworker@sudbury.ma.us if they are under 60, or the Sudbury Senior Center at 978-443-3055 or senior@sudbury.ma.us if they are 60 or older.

The committee also said the Sudbury-Wayland Boston Hospital Shuttle stopped operating effective June 30. Separately, Sudbury Catch Connect, a service run with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, will remain fare-free through June 30, 2027.

The committee, formed in September 2018, oversees several transportation services that supplement the Sudbury Connection van run through the Sudbury Senior Center. Those include the Sudbury Connection van, which serves residents 60 and older and residents 18 and older with a disability that limits driving, the MWRTA Dial-a-Ride supplement on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, the Go Sudbury! low-cost rideshare program, and Catch Connect.

The town advised residents to watch for further updates from the Sudbury Senior Center or the Transportation Committee, noting that services may change or have limits.
