Sudbury's Finance Committee, reviewing fiscal year 2028 budget projections on Sept. 14, discussed a slate of capital borrowings set to go before the town in December that includes the Atkinson pool, along with two roof projects, DPW concrete floors and an ambulance. Assistant Town Manager and Finance Director Victor Garofalo told the committee the borrowing estimates are conservative and could come down once final numbers are set.
COMMUNITY
Select Board member Charlie Russo announced at the board's Sept. 15 meeting that the Sudbury Pan-Mass Challenge Kids Ride will take place Sunday, Sept. 20, at Curtis Middle School. Russo said the ride is open to children roughly ages 2 to 14 and will run in the morning. He encouraged drivers in the Curtis Middle School area to use extra caution that morning because of the event.
