Housing Authority · Meeting of June 9, 2026
Sudbury Housing Authority advances MassDwell talks and prepares for a chair retirement. The board voted unanimously to proceed with negotiations with modular builder MassDwell — the sole respondent to its RFP for integrated project delivery services on four single-family redevelopment homes — pending satisfactory evaluation and further definition of the construction contract and property conveyance mechanism. Members also approved an amended engineering design fee of $38,300, up from $26,000, for the FISH 705-4 septic replacement covering Fairbank Circle, Pine and Old Meadow Road, and authorized a one-time FY27 appropriation of $61,339 to Middlesex County.
The outgoing chair announced his retirement after roughly 40 years and endorsed attorney Cynthia Howe, whose mother Joanne was a former executive director, as his successor, targeting a Select Board appointment on June 30 or July 14. Cambridge, the current development consultant, is stepping back amid internal turnover, forcing a parallel six-to-eight-week RFP for a replacement.
