Sudbury Housing Authority Approves $159,683 State Funding, Septic Contract Amendment

Housing Authority · Meeting of August 11, 2026

Sudbury Housing Authority accepts $159,683 in state formula funds and expands septic engineering scope at three duplex sites. The board voted unanimously at its August 11 meeting to accept Contract for Financial Assistance Amendment 21 for $159,683.51 in fiscal year 2029 capital funding from the state, and to authorize Executive Director Tanya Kavitsky as the new signatory on the agreement. A separate unanimous vote approved a $17,500 engineering amendment to expand the scope of proactive septic replacement work at Fairbanks Circle, Old Meadow, and Pine Spring, with the cost fully formula-funded and subject to Housing Loan Committee approval.

The board pressed for a draft ownership-and-financing contract for its 705-program redevelopment project within four weeks, after months of stalled communication with developer Cambridge, with legal counsel Hannah of the NSP team outlining a plan to split the deal into two separate agreements. Members also provided informal input on housing possibilities at Liberty Ledge and Camp Sewataro, identifying 213 Haynes Road and adjacent lots on Greystone Lane as the most immediately viable candidates.
