Sudbury Historical Commission reelects Hagger as chair, redistributes Hosmer House projects

SUDBURY — June 18, 2024 — Sudbury Historical Commission reelects Hagger, distributes project leadership, and weighs July 4 staffing gap. Chair Christopher Hagger was reelected unanimously and member Michael Wallace was elected vice chair at the June 18 meeting. With Diana Warren off the commission, members Bill Andreas, Christopher Durall, and Jan Costa took over three CPA-funded consultant projects — historic structures and cultural landscape, Hosmer House collections, and the phase-five inventory survey — while Durall agreed to succeed Costa as treasurer effective July 1 after her nearly eight-year tenure. The commission approved amendment number two to its Dynamic janitorial contract and a revised key-request form drafted by alternate Marjorie Katz so docents can be issued Hosmer House keys. Member Diana Sebra, who has staffed the museum for 12 years, said she could not cover July 4 and that the house drew 120 visitors on Memorial Day; "not opening the house, I don't think is an option," she said. The fund balance stands at $4,061.
