SUDBURY — The Sudbury Historical Commission reviewed a $48,000 Community Preservation Act funding request for cemetery restoration and advanced its demolition-delay review of a barn at 7-2 Thompson Drive. Member Kimberly Burns said the cemetery application includes $37,000 for marker repair and $11,000 for tree, fence and wall work, calling the project "incredibly well laid out," according to fellow member Jan Costa. Costa separately briefed the board on proposed federal changes to Section 106 of the 1966 National Historic Preservation Act, saying she "was just blown away by every single word in there that has to do with preservation." A site inspection of the Thompson Drive barn was set for Friday at 11 a.m.
The commission voted 5-0 with two abstentions to approve its August 18 minutes and voted 7-0 to adjourn at 9:28 p.m.
