Sudbury HDC continues Lily's Nails sign a second time for design review

SUDBURY — July 10, 2025 — Sudbury HDC sends Lily's Nails sign back to design review a second time. The Historic Districts Commission voted 4-0 on July 10 to continue applicant Todd DeBonis's 348 Boston Post Road sign case to Aug. 7 after he failed to return to the Design Review Board as ordered in June; Chair Anuraj Shah said the prior directive had been "crystal clear." The same meeting approved a revised 13-panel Sunrun solar array at 19 Maple Ave., an eyebrow dormer at 84 Peakham Road, and a Sudbury Garden Club commemorative sign at Heritage Park capped at two feet off the ground. A 10 Hudson Road dormer was approved on condition the new windows be wood-exterior simulated divided light. Commissioners also pushed the Revolutionary War Cemetery working group to strip parchment textures, decorative stripes and star embellishments from a proposed 36-by-48-inch interpretive kiosk that presenter Jan Costa said now identifies 509 of an estimated 976 burials.
