Historic Districts Commission rejects already-installed nail salon sign at 348 Boston Post Road

SUDBURY — June 5, 2025 — Sudbury HDC sends three of five applicants back for redesign in a three-member June 5 session. With Chair Anuraj Shah absent, Vice Chair Taryn Trexler ran a meeting where every approval required unanimity from her, Christopher Hagger and John "Griff" Noble. The commission continued an already-installed Lilies nail salon sign at 348 Boston Post Road after Hagger said the lettering was oversized and the design had skipped the Design Review Board; a 13-panel Sunrun rooftop solar array at 19 Maple Avenue after objections to three panels directly above the front door, which Hagger said "takes away from the whole front door area"; and a six-window eyebrow dormer at 84 Peakham Road pending Marvin window cut sheets. Approved 3-0: replacement windows and copper gutters at the Levys' 1830s 20 King Philip Road home; an all-white-with-black-sash repaint at 123 Dutton Road; and HardiePlank siding, Garaga Princeton P-12 garage doors and black aluminum gutters at 22 Colburn Circle for Hilda and Luis Navarro, who close June 27.
