Sudbury CPC sends all seven FY25 applications back for more detail

SUDBURY — November 18, 2023 — Sudbury CPC reviews $2.5 million in FY25 requests against a $2 million working budget. The Community Preservation Committee re-elected Chair Sherry Cline and Vice Chair Kirsten Roopenian and sent every applicant back for more detail before the November 1 follow-up. The seven asks total roughly $2,536,221 against a working budget of $2,028,558 after debt service and administration. The largest single ask, $1,050,000 from the Sudbury Housing Trust, will be revised downward and was criticized as lacking specificity and citing a non-CPA-eligible mortgage assistance program. The Housing Authority requested $450,000 to convert 21 Great Lake and 8 Oakwood Avenue into duplexes. The Wayside Inn Road bridge over Hop Brook drew a $400,000 construction request from a three-paragraph application that members called "skinny." Public hearings are November 15 and December 6.
