Select Board receives 57 Town Meeting articles, refers them to counsel

SUDBURY — February 4, 2025 — Sudbury Select Board receives 57 Town Meeting articles and pulls vocational education resolution. The board voted 5-0 on Feb. 4 to acknowledge receipt of the 2025 Annual Town Meeting warrant articles submitted by Jan. 31, less a vocational education resolution that member Lisa Kouchakdjian withdrew for more research. "I really want to work harder to get the information that board members want," Kouchakdjian said. Member Daniel Carty pulled the Sudbury Housing Authority's $450,000 Community Preservation Act allocation off the proposed consent calendar, citing resident emails, and flagged that Article 35's $429,000 Atkinson Pool supplement requires a two-thirds vote because it is debt-funded. The board also accepted a $11,745.99 state Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant and approved a common victualler license for Zayith Tapas and Bar at 621 Boston Post Road. Town Manager Andy Sheehan said federal funding pauses could expose Sudbury to "more than a million dollars" across two fiscal years.
