Planning Board conditionally approves Route 20 restaurant with entry and roof revisions

SUDBURY — September 13, 2023 — Sudbury Planning Board conditionally approves Route 20 restaurant pending entry and roof refinements. The board voted 4-0 Wednesday to grant site plan and stormwater approvals for 694 Boston Post Road, requiring architect Bob Livermore and engineer Vito Colonna of Cornerstone Engineering to widen the front entry, add a canopy and drop the main gable roof by roughly one foot. Member Anuraj Shah said the entry "needs to be a lot more distinguished," and Julie Zelermyer Perlman said it "still feels like a backdoor a little bit." Acting Chair Justin Finnicum, sitting in for Chair Stephen Garvin, also reminded the applicant the site still needs a Water Resource Protection District permit for ongoing construction. The board separately approved a rain garden substitution at 40 Skyview Lane, released a $10,000 Coldbrook Crossing landscaping bond, and accepted a $135,200 stormwater bond for 7 Fox Hill Drive.
