Planning Board approves Metro Lube site plan and reserved-parking permit on Route 20
SUDBURY — September 27, 2023 — Sudbury Planning Board signs off on Metro Lube at 86-92 Boston Post Road after redesign. The board voted 3-0 to approve the site plan and stormwater permit and 4-0, with an associate member joining late, to approve a special permit under bylaw sections 3100 and 3113 reserving three parking spaces from paving. Applicant Bob Lattis and engineer Vito Colonna of Cornerstone Engineering presented revised elevations that extended brick up the west wall, eliminated stucco and squared off the roofline; landscape architect Steve Kosmoski added a three-and-a-half-foot post-and-rail fence across the frontage. Chair Stephen Garvin said the design "fits in better with the character of what the hope is for Route 20 to continue to develop." A tree-protection detail from the Horsley Witten peer review was added as a condition. The board also continued Bonnybrook Estates and 502 Concord Road hearings to Oct. 11 and sketched a hybrid approach for its wireless overlay rewrite.
