Planning Board approves Harvey's Farm Lane wholesale nursery on 4-0 vote

SUDBURY — November 13, 2024 — Sudbury Planning Board unanimously approves Harvey's Farm Lane nursery site plan over abutter objections. The 4-0 vote, with Julie Zelermyer Perlman absent, clears a wholesale nursery on lots 1 and 2 of Harvey's Farm Lane pending a separate Conservation Commission decision Dec. 2. Robert Misho of MDM Transportation Consultants said a Vanasse Associates peer review dated Oct. 28 corroborated that the site will generate "fewer than 10 vehicle trips over the course of any hour of the day." Abutter Ron Eisenstein of 107 Old Sudbury Road pressed for conditions on hours, lighting and signage and warned he would campaign against members at re-election; Chair Stephen Garvin and Planning Director Adam Burney said hours of operation cannot be conditioned on a non-special-permit agricultural use protected under Chapter 40A Section 3. The board also released a $10,000 stormwater bond on lot 38 Fox Hill Drive after site stabilization was verified.
