Planning Board approves Camp Sewataro stormwater permit with drainage waiver

SUDBURY — July 19, 2023 — Sudbury Planning Board approves Camp Sewataro and Water District permits, continues Willis Road scenic wall. Meeting remotely July 19, the board voted 5-0 to grant a stormwater volume waiver for the town-owned Camp Sewataro project at 1 Liberty Ledge after Chair Stephen Garvin pressed Graves Engineering's Keith Murray to add riprap and gravel inlet protection at an existing 15-inch pipe. "If we're going to give you a waiver, we'd like to see that comment addressed a little bit better," Garvin said. The board also approved the site plan with a condition that the building inspector verify ADA tactile warning strip requirements, and approved the stormwater permit with peer-review conditions 9C and 10A. Separate 5-0 votes approved site plan and stormwater permits for the Sudbury Water District treatment building at 100 East St. A scenic road hearing for a stone wall rebuild at 272 Willis Road was continued to Aug. 9 pending a stamped survey confirming the wall stays within the public right-of-way.
