LS School Committee approves overnight Colorado trip on 5-0 vote

SUDBURY — October 1, 2025 — Lincoln-Sudbury committee approves overnight Colorado student trip in two-minute meeting. The LS Regional School Committee voted 5-0 on Wednesday to authorize the overnight out-of-state trip, its only agenda item, with no discussion in open session. Chair Ravi Simon told Superintendent/Principal Andrew Stephens there was "no need to sort of repeat information that was in your email," moved approval himself, and went straight to a roll call that recorded ayes from Simon, Vice-Chair Catherine Bitter, member Maura Carty, member John J. Ryan, Jr., and one additional member. The committee then voted 5-0 to adjourn at 6:46 p.m. "The shortest school committee meeting, I think, in history," Simon said. "I look forward to never having this again." Trip cost, dates, and itinerary were not discussed publicly.
