LS School Committee · Meeting of September 22, 2026

SUDBURY — The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee unanimously approved a $489,715 fiscal 2028 capital request Tuesday, up from roughly $484,000 after a manufacturer-recommended 10 percent contingency on new heat pumps. Director of Finance and Operations Susan Gilson said the figure, due to the town of Lincoln by September 25, includes four heat pumps at $27,500 each and a roughly $100,000 estimate to replace 285 phones for state E911 compliance. Member Jack Ryan urged Gilson to share the numbers with Sudbury immediately, "because the Sudbury budget process is moving ahead very rapidly." The committee also voted 6-0 to adopt its own 2026-2027 goals and discussed a joint transportation bid with Sudbury Public Schools targeting a November 15 contract award.

Member Charles Morton raised a process question about members commenting on shared bid documents outside a posted meeting, which Gilson and Chair Catherine Bitter resolved by directing members to send individual feedback instead.
