Lincoln-Sudbury committee sets 2023-24 subcommittees as Wong delivers farewell report
SUDBURY — June 6, 2023 — Lincoln-Sudbury committee fills 2023-24 subcommittee slate as Wong delivers 10-year farewell. Chair Heather Doran assigned the financial subcommittee — the heaviest workload because it meets with both town finance committees — to herself, Ravi Simon and Kevin Matthews, and put Mary Worzynski, Doran and Matthews on evaluation, which must deliver a rewritten rubric for incoming Superintendent Andrew by Aug. 1. Departing Superintendent-Principal Bella Wong reported 358 graduates this spring and roughly 3,800 over her decade, with the OPEB trust grown from zero to nearly $3 million and the stabilization fund closing at about $900,000, up from $380,000 at her start. Wong said the district has met five of six NEASC foundational elements and now also the sixth, with 98 percent of courses on consistent curriculum templates. "You have the reserves to address the capital items that are ahead of you," Wong told the committee. Teachers Association representative Danny announced she is stepping down and being replaced by math teacher Megan Atari.
