Lincoln-Sudbury committee promotes Tim Jason to associate principal in unanimous vote
SUDBURY — June 11, 2024 — Lincoln-Sudbury committee promotes Tim Jason and awards $1.07M cleaning contract. The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee unanimously appointed 23-year English teacher Tim Jason as associate principal on the recommendation of Superintendent/Principal Andrew Stephens, who called Jason "universally respected at LS" after an internal search involving teacher, student, parent and admin panels. The committee separately awarded a three-year, $1,073,900 base contract to incumbent Dynamic Janitorial Cleaning Company; one of four bidders, MP Building Services, was disqualified for incomplete man-hour pricing. Director of Finance and Operations Kirsteen Patterson said the district is tracking to fully expend its $37,095,789 fiscal 2024 budget by June 30, with "services and other" running roughly $197,000 in deficit at quarter close as ESSER support expires. Patterson previewed a full high school roof replacement structured to begin after current building debt retires at the end of fiscal 2026, designed to "trade our current debt for new debt."
