Lincoln-Sudbury committee adjourns into executive session after five-minute open meeting

SUDBURY — July 11, 2024 — Lincoln-Sudbury school committee opens, hears no public comment, and immediately closes its doors. The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District Committee met remotely July 11 and adjourned into executive session within minutes, citing the open meeting law exemption for strategy on collective bargaining or litigation where open discussion "may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body." Chair Ravi Simon confirmed a quorum at 7:03 p.m. with members Catherine Bitter, Maura Carty and Kevin Matthews present, along with Superintendent/Principal Andrew Stevens. No member of the public signed in to speak. The roll-call vote to close the meeting was 4-0, with no return to open session planned.
