Lincoln-Sudbury committee endorses draft strategic plan, AP survey findings on year's last night

SUDBURY — June 24, 2025 — Lincoln-Sudbury wraps year with AP survey, new strategic plan and finance director's farewell. The Regional School Committee on June 24 heard results from a 44-college survey finding that most admissions offices weight course grades over AP exam scores and evaluate applicants within their own school's context, with only seven respondents rating a weighted GPA "very important." Director of Curriculum Leslie Patterson said three sections each of AP Statistics and AP Biology will run in the fall, seating all 80 and 77 student requests with no wait list. Vice Chair Cathie Bitter announced three contracts approved in executive session — a three-year managers' agreement, a one-year interim deal naming Susan Bottan finance director, and a two-year Advisory MOA. The committee voted 6-0 to approve end-of-year transfers against a $38,357,107 budget with $37,953,000 spent and a $289,567 balance, then thanked departing Director of Finance Kirsteen Patterson, who said she serves "with that purpose always."
