Historical Commission recommends Steven Greene as alternate, renews Hosmer House cleaning contract
SUDBURY — May 20, 2025 — Sudbury Historical Commission backs former member's return as alternate and renews Hosmer House cleaning deal. The commission voted unanimously May 20 to recommend Steven Greene for appointment as an alternate, with Chair Christopher Hagger calling him a "tremendous resource" given his work on the Revolutionary War Cemetery and Mass Central Rail Trail inventory. Members separately voted 7-0 to renew a one-year contract with Dynamic Janitorial Cleaning Services for Hosmer House at $897 per cleaning — a $100 increase — with two one-year renewal options. The commission also unanimously endorsed member Jan Costa's reappointment as its Community Preservation Committee representative through May 2028. DPW Director Tina Revard told members the displaced granite marker at Union Avenue and Concord Road has been removed in two pieces and stored in a DPW garage bay; Hagger and member Christopher Durall will meet Revard on site to pick a permanent location before the contractor finishes work in early June.
