Goodnow trustees keep EV charger article on May 6 Town Meeting warrant
SUDBURY — April 2, 2024 — Goodnow Library Trustees will defend EV charger warrant article at Sudbury Town Meeting May 6. Meeting without Library Director Esme, who was stranded in Columbus by a flight delay, trustees rejected the idea of pulling their article and instead pushed back on Finance Committee confusion over funding, noting the article allows money "by any means" — solar revolving fund, free cash, town manager's budget or grants — not just free cash. The chair said Sustainability Coordinator Dani Marina King expects a firmer cost estimate within two to three weeks and that Eversource service must be expanded at the library site. Trustees also agreed to submit a letter of support for an April 24 farmers market grant application with Locally Grown Sudbury, and called for a review of library solicitation policy 4B4 after an email complaint about a recent forum. The next meeting is May 14.
