Goodnow trustees approve photo-driven annual report, accept $10,000 GLF e-book gift
SUDBURY -- February 4, 2025, Goodnow Library Trustees approve redesigned annual report and accept $10,000 foundation gift for e-books. Library Director Esmé Green told the board Feb. 4 that the Goodnow Library Foundation had voted to fund additional e-book content, and presented a photo- and graphics-heavy annual report that trustees approved unanimously. Green said the town's sustainability coordinator, Danny Marini-King, is leaving, throwing the spring farmer's market grant into uncertainty before the Town Manager's office assigned an intern to keep the project alive. She told trustees that roughly $9,500 in second-year LSTA Sudbury Indigenous History Grant funds had just landed, and that the library had been forced to turn away passport applicants after federal executive orders on gender markers, guidance that reverted Feb. 4 to the prior application form. "I honestly don't know what they're supposed to do," Green said of patrons whose IDs no longer match.
