Goodnow Library director resigns for Andover post at March meeting
SUDBURY — March 4, 2025 — Goodnow Library director announces departure for Andover at routine March meeting. The library's director told the Board of Trustees on March 4 that she had taken a new job in Andover and would leave by the end of the month, an off-agenda announcement that closed an otherwise brief session. Trustees Caseria, Fontes, Frank, Iwasaki and Mayyasi were present; Megan Kelley was absent. The director reported 118 passport applications in February — the highest single-month total since the service began in 2019 — and roughly $26,000 in year-to-date passport, copy and coffee revenue against $2,800 in meeting-room rentals. She also told the board the Goodnow Library Foundation had voted $10,000 toward ebook purchases and flagged that a state Healthy Incentives Program cut had reduced family produce subsidies from $70-$80 a month to roughly $20, threatening the library's planned farmers market: "People aren't eating healthy and the farmers are not doing well." Trustees adjourned at the director's request to continue the conversation off the record.
