Conservation Commission orders irrigation system removed at 31 Lincoln Lane

SUDBURY — June 26, 2023 — Sudbury Conservation Commission forces removal of unpermitted riverfront irrigation system at 31 Lincoln Lane. Homeowner Dr. Jitinder Gill told the commission Monday he would remove the system "tomorrow" after members made clear it could not remain, capping an hour-plus enforcement discussion. Member Mark Sevier rejected a proposal to leave capped piping in the ground, saying the property's pattern of after-the-fact work made him expect heads would be reinstalled. Conservation Coordinator Lori Capone noted that perpetual orders of conditions on both abutting Lincoln Lane properties already bar irrigation systems on the riverfront. Abutter Chris Bursick of 41 Lincoln Lane urged consistency across the street's properties. The matter was continued to July 24 for a written removal plan and expanded mitigation from consultant Nicole Hayes of Goddard Consulting. In the same meeting, members unanimously approved a roughly $4,000 beaver-flow-device installation at Duck Pond.
