Conservation Commission approves two septic replacements, defers 200 Concord Road

SUDBURY — October 30, 2023 — Sudbury Conservation Commission approves two septic replacements, defers third pending alternatives. The commission, chaired by David Henkels, unanimously issued orders of conditions for septic replacements at 26 Alta Road and 444 Boston Post Road but continued a contested application at 200 Concord Road to Nov. 13 after Conservation Coordinator Lori questioned expanding a 1999 system that now sits within 50 feet of newly delineated wetlands. "I'm really struggling on allowing that to be expanded where the system itself should not have technically been put in place," she told consultant Rich Kirby of LEC Environmental, who agreed to return with mitigation plantings of 30 to 40 native shrubs and additional alternatives analysis. The commission also approved a Sudbury Valley Trustees stream-bank restoration at Gray Reservation, a 38 Stub Toe Lane continuance for stormwater mitigation, a fourth one-year monitoring extension at 92 Fairbank Road and two certificates of compliance.
