Sudbury Rail Trails Committee sets June 23 Mass Central ribbon cutting

Rail Trails Advisory Committee · Meeting of June 3, 2026

Sudbury Rail Trails panel previews packed June and June 23 Mass Central ribbon cutting. Meeting Tuesday, Chair John Drabinski and staff planner Marsha walked members through a Bruce Freeman Phase 2D delay pending a Fuss and O'Neill ramp redesign before the Conservation Commission on June 15, a June 4 Metropolitan Planning Organization vote that keeps Sudbury's Phase 3 in federal fiscal year 2029, and construction progress on the Route 20, Union Avenue and Station Road crossings, where a new HAWK signal is installed but not yet active. The Select Board accepted a $25,000 restricted gift from the Friends of the Sudbury Rail Trails for maintenance equipment, and Marsha is seeking new bids after cutting an ADA portable restroom quote from $9,000 to $6,700.

Member Glenn Kransky reported 41 children attended a May 31 police bike rodeo, calling it a "really successful event." The committee approved May 20 minutes 4-0.
