Sudbury Permanent Building Committee elevates Pincus to co-chair as Jones steps down

SUDBURY — September 24, 2025 — Sudbury's Permanent Building Committee elects Jennifer Pincus co-chair as Elaine Jones steps down after 19 years. The 6-0 vote keeps Jones on the committee and handling minutes, financials and meeting posting, while Pincus and continuing Co-Chair Craig Blake split agenda development, meeting-running and spokesperson duties. Members also closed out the Fairbank Community Center project with a final payment of $6,834.12, bringing Colantonio Construction's total contract to $27,392,233.53 including $2.08 million in change orders. "We got what they voted for and a little bit more," Pincus said. Blake reported Fire Station 2 contractor CDI repaired a post-warranty catch basin failure at its own cost, while drought-stricken landscaping awaits a possible irrigation deal with Meadow Walk developer National Development. The committee will meet on call, with two MSBA-funded school roof projects expected at a December special town meeting.
