Permanent Building Committee unanimously endorses Cameron for open seat

SUDBURY — May 21, 2025 — Sudbury Permanent Building Committee endorses Castle Bowes construction administrator for its open seat. Members voted 6-0 Wednesday to recommend Michael Cameron, a nine-year Sudbury resident currently running construction administration on the new Hingham and Brockton public safety buildings, for appointment by the School Committee, which will interview him in person on or about June 2. Co-Chair Craig Blake pressed Cameron on time commitment, citing prior members who "decide that their priorities are in other directions"; Cameron pledged to honor evening meetings. Member Jennifer Pincus reported the Atkinson Pool will close from Aug. 16 through mid-to-late November for a JJ Cardozi-led renovation and a four-week Titan Roofing project starting Sept. 1, with Vertex continuing as owner's project manager. Co-Chair Elaine Jones, with the town since 1973, said she will retire from her legal-assistant role at the end of June but continue staffing the PBC.
