Sudbury parents press LS committee on AP allocations and PSAT deadline

SUDBURY — September 12, 2023 — Sudbury parents press LS committee on AP allocations and a missed PSAT deadline. Two parents, Jun Wu and a speaker who identified herself as Feigal, told the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee on Sept. 12 that their juniors had been shut out of AP courses while other juniors received two placements, and that the PSAT registration deadline closed the first Friday of school after being "deep embedded" inside a general LS newsletter. Feigal said LS offers about nine AP courses against roughly 14 at Wayland and 20 at Lexington and asked the committee to reopen PSAT registration. Staff separately reported the district spent 99 percent of its fiscal 2023 budget, completed its OPEB two-year review, and will install LS-owned vending machines tied to MySchoolBucks accounts in late October or early November. The Spanish exchange resumes Sept. 26 with 20 students and two teachers from Asturias.
