Sudbury Native's Phish Connection Becomes Weekend's Biggest Local Buzz

SUDBURY -- A hometown link to Phish's sold-out Fenway Park run became the talk of Sudbury this weekend, according to Sudbury Patch, even as the School Committee heads into a pivotal budget session Monday and the Senior Center opens its August sign-up window.

SCHOOLS

The School Committee meets Monday, Aug. 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at 40 Fairbank Road, with the session following closely on the heels of a Budget Subcommittee agenda packet released July 31 and a projected enrollment update posted the same day, both aimed at shaping the district's fiscal 2027 planning. The district's Anti-Hate Anti-Bias Taskforce also met July 29, continuing a series of sessions that began earlier in the month.

Family sports registration also opened in recent days: Lincoln-Sudbury Youth Baseball posted its fall registration July 29, following the Sudbury Flag Football League's fall sign-up announcement July 20.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Sudbury Senior Center's August registration window for non-fitness activities and events opens this week, with Sudbury residents able to register starting Monday, Aug. 3, and non-residents starting Wednesday, Aug. 2. Registrations can be made by phone or email through the center at 40 Fairbank Road.
