Sudbury Housing Trust Releases 2025 Housing Production Plan

SUDBURY — Sudbury Housing Trust has released its 2025 Housing Production Plan, a state-certified roadmap for guiding affordable housing development under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40B. The plan gives the town a mechanism for directing where new affordable units get built rather than leaving those decisions to a state override.

TOWN HALL

Sudbury Housing Trust posted its 2025 Housing Production Plan to the town website on August 17. Housing Production Plans are certified by the state under Chapter 40B, the law that allows developers to bypass certain local zoning rules in communities that fall short of affordable-housing thresholds; a certified plan gives towns like Sudbury a way to steer where new affordable housing gets built instead of ceding that control through a 40B override. The plan is posted on the Sudbury Housing Trust's page of the town website, along with contact information for residents with questions.
