Sudbury Historic Districts Commission approves two projects, continues three to January

SUDBURY — December 5, 2024 — Sudbury Historic Districts Commission approves two residential projects and defers three. The three-member panel — Christopher Hagger acting as chair in the absence of Chair Anuraj Shah and Vice Chair Taryn Trexler, with John "Griff" Noble and a third member identified as Jordan — continued to Jan. 9 a contested daycare fence at 330 Concord Road, where applicant Megan Gowd needs a 48-inch perimeter to satisfy state Department of Early Education and Care rules. Hagger said he would not back a fence "close to the cemetery," and the commission asked Gowd to install stakes and string at the site before individual member visits. A 51 Hudson Road dry-stone wall rebuild costing roughly $4,000 was also continued over a jurisdictional question — the wall sits on town land. The panel approved a split-rail fence at 61 Dutton Road for new owners Christina Hardway and Gregory Freed, and a composite deck expansion at 411 Concord Road for Lori Eliasson, conditioned on painting white PVC skirting to match the house body.
