Sudbury Board of Health schedules Nov. 30 mobile COVID clinic at Goodnow Library

SUDBURY — November 15, 2022 — Sudbury Board of Health books a Nov. 30 mobile vaccination clinic as flu cases run five times last year's pace. Public Health Nurse Patty reported 54 COVID-19 cases in October — 41 confirmed and 13 probable, with two hospitalizations — and 32 year-to-date flu cases against six a year earlier. The town has administered 483 flu doses; the Goodnow Library clinic on Nov. 30 will run 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. with Moderna for children under 5 and Pfizer for everyone else. Health Director Bill said the Cavicchio Greenhouses fire site has entered the state Massachusetts Contingency Plan process with ammonium nitrate from fertilizer runoff flagged as the top contaminant. Chair Carol Bradford thanked resident Kay Bell, who distributed 62 self-test kits to the Golden Tones Chorus: "You guys are doing the hard work."
