The director told the Board of Health on Nov. 19 she will resign effective Jan. 2 to build a health and human services division in Andover, after roughly two and a half years in Sudbury. Chair Carol Bradford said the director had built "a really well-oiled machine" and would assist with hiring her successor. Social worker Nina reported the Sudbury Food Pantry has added 130 new families since September and is serving more than 100 households per distribution day following the recent federal SNAP suspension. The director also issued a cease-and-desist order against Formosa Market at Sudbury Plaza after the owner revised the business model mid-construction, and reported that the Atkinson pool — repaired by South Shore Gunite — passed pressure tests with final inspection set for the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
