Sudbury Board of Health approves $30,000 vaccine revolving fund spend

SUDBURY — January 10, 2023 — Sudbury Board of Health authorizes $30,000 vaccine fund and names an acting director. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to set the FY spending cap on its flu-clinic revolving account at $30,000 and to let the director sign the related warrant article on members' behalf. Chair Carol Bradford said seven resumes have arrived for the open health director job and that she, Linda Huet-Clayton and Susan Sama will conduct an initial interview round before staff joins a second round. Public health nurse Patty Moran has been deputized as acting director, with staffer Anne Larray picking up additional hours. Moran reported 76 December COVID cases and 29 flu cases, and social worker Bethany Hadrab said the office distributed more than $30,000 in ARPA basic-needs gift cards last year, calling the wait time for help the moment "when people need us most."
