LS School Committee narrows calendar to three scenarios, approves revised roof OPM

SUDBURY — November 18, 2025 — Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee narrows calendar options and clears revised roof OPM RFQ. The committee voted 6-0 Tuesday to send three calendar scenarios to administration — all adding Diwali and at least one Eid, with half-day treatment for Good Friday and Lunar New Year — while preserving the start date and minimizing impact on the school year's end. A separate 6-0 vote approved a restructured request for qualifications for an owner's project manager on the high-school roof project after contract counsel flagged scope overlap; the roof-evaluation specialist, expected to cost under $10,000, will now be procured separately by Director of Finance Susan Bottan. Director Bottan also reported Oct. 1 enrollment of 1,357, down 87 from last year, with FY27 projected to fall another 43 students before stabilizing. Member Jack Ryan, leading the roof discussion, said the project remains "on time and under budget — an LS tradition."
