L-S screening committee finalizes interview questions for superintendent search

SUDBURY -- February 16, 2023, Lincoln-Sudbury superintendent screening committee narrows interview to roughly 14 questions. The panel spent two-plus hours Feb. 16 reconciling member-submitted questions with a consolidated draft from MASC search consultant Glenn, after several members said their submissions never made it into the master document. The final slate covers the joint superintendent-principal role, strategic planning process, budget priorities, special education vision, staff evaluation and professional development, school culture and DEI, communication, academic rigor versus student well-being, and the METCO program, with one member pushing to gauge whether candidates see METCO as "an administrative burden" or an opportunity. Applications close Feb. 28. Glenn warned the committee that two other districts leaked candidate information in the past week and said any breach here would prompt him to "call the district attorney and file a complaint." The committee will move into executive session at its next meeting, tentatively March 2 or March 8, to screen applicants.
