Historical Commission continues three demolition hearings, splits Hosmer study into two RFQs
SUDBURY — June 20, 2023 — Sudbury Historical Commission re-elects Hagger, picks McGrath as new vice chair, continues three demo cases. The seven-member body voted unanimously to return Christopher Hagger to the chair and to elect Catherine McGrath vice chair, replacing Diana Warren after roughly four years and eight on the commission. Hagger said the commission needs "to pivot somewhat to a stance to better interact in a cooperative way with potential stakeholders." Public hearings on 196 North Road and 328 Hudson Road were continued to July 18; a site visit at 35 Willis Road was set for noon Friday. On the 328 Hudson Road concrete-block garage, member Diana Warren said it may be the only example of its style in Sudbury; owner Victor Nascimento will pursue an emergency demolition determination. Members also agreed to split the $130,000 CPC-funded Hosmer House study into separate $110,000 and $20,000 procurements.
