SUDBURY -- October 15, 2024, Sudbury Historical Commission clears 250 Raymond Road for partial demolition and moves toward backing tercentenary marker removal. The commission voted 6-0 Tuesday that the affected portion of the 1920s gambrel-roofed home owned by Brian and Emily Donnelly is not historically significant under the town's demolition delay bylaw, with Chair Christopher Hagger urging the homeowners to preserve an original garage window. Vice-Chair Michael Wallace summarized a tentative consensus that the commission will support legal removal of the town's 1930-era tercentenary roadside markers, provided they are preserved and replaced with more accurate public history.
